Fall 2025 ROAR Simulation Racing Series Competition

September 8, 2025 by Huo Chao Kuan

The Robot Open Autonomous Racing (ROAR) Simulation Racing Series competition for Fall 2025 is scheduled for Dec. 12, 2025. ROAR provides a Python-based racing simulation environment that allows contenders to race their autonomous AI agents. Contenders can fully train and test their AI algorithms without any vehicle hardware in this series. We invite interested teams and students to compete in our software simulation racing series where you will be able to test your autonomous driving agent against other students.

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and we offer this competition every semester. See submission guidelines and upcoming deadlines here. This fall, we will continue featuring our Monza Map v1.1.
