In the Summer of 2023, after two years of successful and rich collaboration, in a continuation of this collaborative spirit, UC Berkeley under Allen Yang’s ROAR group has assumed the role of the Lead University in the AI Racing Tech Team. This transition marks a pivotal moment as the team acknowledges a changing of the guard. However, it’s important to note that while leads are changing, the core team remains unchanged, UH’s Gary Passon will remain as AI Motorsports PI, providing valuable continuity to the team’s leadership, and fans can expect to see all their favorite team members return ensuring continuity in our pursuit of advancing AI racing technology. This commitment is driven by a longstanding tradition of technical excellence and an unwavering dedication to ongoing progress.
