Tale of the Tibetan Nomad released on Oculus TV

April 2, 2021 | Huo Chao Kuan

Carol Liu’s film Tale of the Tibetan Nomad has been released on Oculus TV app. The film is a collaboration between U-Ma Studios, UC Berkeley Arts + Design, playwright Stan Lai and production designer, Sandra Woodall. Due to Covid-19 concerns, Carol’s virtual reality 13-minute short film premiered in the 2020 Tribeca Film festival. The film will be available for free.

Based on Chinese playwright Stan Lai’s “A Dream Like a Dream,” the film is about a Tibetan shepherd who goes on a surrealistic journey to find his missing newlywed wife.

The film is available online through the Oculus TV app for Oculus Go and Oculus Quest.
